“Adding the all-important ‘wow’ factor to the property”
The Britton family contacted Welsh Oak Frame when they decided they wanted to add an oak framed garden room extension to their property. The original cottage already features exposed oak beams therefore oak became the natural choice for the extension, to blend seamlessly with the existing property.
With a beautiful, large garden surrounding the property, one of our in house designers suggested a roundel style garden room to provide panoramic views.
The oak framed garden room features a number of elongated curved braces, hand crafted by our team of carpenters. The high pitch gives the room a sense of space and theatricality. The curved timbers have resulted in a unique, circular design that compliments the original cottage perfectly. Sitting on a dwarf wall, our unique direct glazing system enables uninterrupted views of the surrounding landscapes and the tiled roof ensures the room remains at a stable temperature during summer.
The result is a roundel style garden room that compliments the main home whilst adding the all-important ‘wow’ factor to the property.
